Player Code of Conduct

All players will be held accountable for inappropriate conduct, regardless of the player’s seniority or abilities. The following Player Code of Conduct applies to all players.

Players will display good sportsmanship and team play at all times. They will refrain from unsportsmanlike gestures, talk, language, or profanity. Players will not taunt or tease players from any team, at any time, including their own.

Players will win and lose graciously, demonstrating good sportsmanship throughout games, practices and competitions.

Players will show respect towards the umpires and their decisions. All
decisions made by the umpires are to be accepted as final. No player should argue
a call or judgment. Only the team manager and coaches should be questioning calls
and judgments.

No team member should throw his bat, helmet, glove or any object in disgust on or
off the playing field at any time.

Players accept coaching decisions regarding playing positions and playing time. Every attempt is made to give every player fair playing time, but there are no guarantees for equal playing time or time at a specific position. Players need to put in the work, listen and have a good attitude.

Players understand that they can be released from the team due to repeated poor sportsmanship or behavior issues during games or events, or which reflect poorly on their team/teammates.

Players understand that additional rules, guidelines and/or policies may be added depending on an event or situation, and that those rules must be followed.

Players understand that the use of facilities is a privilege and not a right. Facilities are to be treated with care. Players are expected to pick up after themselves. This includes parks, dug outs, fields, etc.

Players understand that if they do NOT follow the Player Code of Conduct may be subject to disciplinary action, including any of the following actions:

  • Required to apologize to teammates, opponents, officials, etc., as directed.
  • Substitution from game temporarily or for remainder of game (benched)
  • Physical/task consequence (ie: running laps; clean up).
  • Expulsion from game or event (must leave field). Expulsion from a game by an official will result in an automatic one-game suspension.
  • Suspension from subsequent games, practices or other team activities.
  • Removal from the program.
