Cicero shared the Sports Center field with the CNY Sandlot on Saturday night in the early time slot.

Cicero was short some players, but still managed to get 15 hits off of the 27 balls they put into play.

Hit leaders on the night were Lucas Thelen (5), Nicholas Capece and Alex Sanes-Carmona (3). Alysa Mooney had 2 hits on the night, while Daniel Capp and Michael Mooney both had one.

Some high points:

Lucas Thelen caught a fly ball off the ceiling in center field and snagged some tough throws at first base. He also hit 2 doubles and 3 singles and scored 1 run.

Alysa Mooney made several impressive stops and catches at first base. She also went 2/4 at the plate.

Alex Sanes-Carmona made a nice throw from third base and went 3/5 on the night.

Michael Mooney made several nice stops at second base.

Daniel Capp hit some nice balls, but was hampered and then sidelined with a leg injury.

The team also welcomed back Jack Clary, who was just cleared to play after an injury.

MVP on the night was Nicholas Capece. His night included a rocket throw from left field to home plate for a tag that ended an inning with runners on. He had multiple put-outs and loaded up several potential double-plays. He also snagged a line drive over 2nd base from the shortstop position to end another inning, keeping it scoreless. On offense, he went 3/5 and scored 2 runs.
