With players primarily from the Cicero North Syracuse (CNS) school district, the 2019/2020 Cicero Rattlers Winter Team competes with other area 14u teams on a regulation-sized 60/90 field inside the Sports Center Arena.
The first 2 winter sessions use a pitching machine, limits each batter to 3 pitches, allows plays off the ceiling, provides a cut-off base between home plate and 1st, gives a single off of hits into the pitching area, and awards home runs for hits off the far wall. The final session is player-pitch and follows MLB rules, but allows plays off the ceiling and limits runs per inning to 5 (or up to 8 if there is a grand-slam).
Some members of this team also play baseball for the CNS Northstars and Junior Chiefs. Several team members also play for other CNS Northstars athletic teams, including: CNS Football, CNS Lacrosse, CNS Wrestling, CNS Cross-Country and CNS Bowling.
