Cicero fell behind early and struggled to get on base as they fell to the SZA home team on Saturday night.

Connor Pearce started on the mound for Cicero and went the distance, pitching for 6 innings in the loss.

Cicero welcomed back Michael Mooney, who had been recovering from an illness, who played well at 1st base and catcher. Avery Pankow also re-joined the lineup for the night, putting in time at 2nd, 3rd and center field.

The Cicero defense had a tough time getting put-outs early as SZA racked up the hits on the night.

Some high points on defense included a long throw from center field by Daniel Capp to Michael Mooney at home plate for a tag at home plate. Capp also managed one of the only two hits on the night.

In addition to the tag at home, Mooney also made a few plays at first base, including a solo play with a tag at first. He earned him the MVP on the night, his second of this indoor session.

Alex Smith came close to turning a double play from the SS position.

Nicholas Capece tallied back-to-back put-outs from 2nd base, snagging a ground ball and a pop-fly, to end the 5th inning.

The final inning brought the most success on offense for Cicero, as they tallied 4 runs before time expired.

The final game of this indoor season is on Saturday, April 6th at the Sports Center 481 Arena.
