Scorekeepers were kept busy during a high-scoring contest between the Cicero Rattlers and Syracuse Olivo, where the Rattlers racked up runs in an 18-6 victory.

The Cicero Rattlers got things started in the first inning when Ben Linstruth doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

They put up another five runs in the third inning, with an offensive onslaught from Marc D’Amico, Dean Capece, and Adrian Muller.

Olivo scored three runs in the third inning.

Linstruth was credited with the victory for the Cicero Rattlers. The fireballer surrendered zero runs on zero hits, striking out three and walking one. Ryan Hooser and TJ Vulcano entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Ryan recorded the last five outs to earn the save for the Rattlers.

Ben Linstruth and Mason Vangel had multiple hits for Cicero Rattlers. Linstruth led the team with three hits in three at bats.

Cicero tore up the base paths, as four players stole at least two bases. Vangel led the way with four.
