Legendary Rattlers players, Lucas Thelen, Kenton Cochran and Nicholas Capece, stepped up to coach the AA Cicero Little League Diamondbacks team through their Spring season.
The three CNS High School athletes dedicated countless hours to the 7-9 year old players, and that work translated into a dominant season against area teams.
This wasn’t the first time these Rattlers Veterans helped coach the young players. They started helping out in 2019 with camps, clinics and league tryouts. Over the past 2 seasons, they volunteered more of their time to help the younger players – and took an even more active roll this Spring.
The plan for this group of young coaches is to continue to train the team at the next level this fall. That’s when they will take on 10u AAA teams from Phoenix, Central Square, North Syracuse and Solvay.
