The Rattlers started off slow on Saturday morning in their first game of a double-header – as they faced the ESM 15u All-Stars.

Starting pitcher for the Rattlers was Evan Rumpel. In the first inning, ESM struck first by scoring one run. The Rattlers came back with a run of their own (Cochran) to end the inning tied at one.

The Rattlers held ESM scoreless in the top of the 2nd inning thanks to put-outs by Cochran, Capece and Bertollini. Unfortunately for ESM, the Rattlers racked up runs in the bottom of the inning thanks to a number of walks mixed in with hits from  Cochran, Matthews, Bertollini and Thelen. The score would end up being 10-1 in favor of the Rattlers.

Neither team scored again until the 5th inning, when the Rattlers scored one run on a Daniel Capp RBI (Bertollini).  The Rattlers brought in 5 more runs in the final inning. The final score was 16-1, Rattlers.

Pitchers for the Rattlers included Rumpel, Capece, Capp, Matthews and Sadowski.

MVP for the Rattlers  was Daniel Capp, who notched his 100th hit as a Rattler in the game.
