Cicero racked up a season high number of hits on Saturday night in the Sports Center 481 arena late game.

Their 10 hits surpassed the number of hits from their first two games combined, which included 5 hits opposite Syracuse RBI and 4 hits opposite Sports Zone Academy. They also managed to get about double that number into play.

Hit leaders on this night included Jackson Fudge and Carson Lear, who had 3 singles each. Michael Mooney added 2 hits, while  Nicholas Capece and  Avery Pankow each got one.

On defense, put outs were made by Jackson Fudge, Avery Pankow, Landon Coyle, Michael Mooney and Nicholas Capece.

Michael Mooney made a number of great catches as he handled all of the first base duties. Alex Smith also made a couple of nice plays and hit his deepest fly ball of the season.

Unfortunately, the hits weren’t enough to match the output of Sport Zone Academy North.

Carson Lear earned MVP honors for this game, putting up 3 hits despite having a hand injury.

Cicero takes on East-Syracuse Minoa in their next game, which takes place at 7:10pm in the Sports Center 481 arena.
